Miss Supranational 2012 is Belarus

After placing 2nd twice in the last three years, Belarus has finally conquered the Miss Supranational title. Katsiaryna Buraya, 23, 1.77 m-tall, a television presenter and Cross-Cultural Communications from Minsk, is the 4th Miss Supranational. She was crowned by outgoing queen Monika Lewczuk, the Polish top model who won the title in 2011.

The show hosted by local television stars Kuba Klawiter and Marcin Kwasny was very entertaining – upbeat, with great music and choreography. All candidates performed in national costumes, swimsuits and gowns, before the Top 20 were announced.

It was the first time Suriname placed in a Grand Slam pageant since the 1950s.

The 20 semi-finalists then paraded once again in cocktail dresses, swimsuit and gowns designed by a Polish designer. The final results were as follows -
