Miss World Australia 2017

Former Miss Supranational Top 10 semi-finalist will now compete in Miss World

Victorian model, criminal profiler and former Miss Supranational Australia (2013) Esma Voloder has put her best performance to take out the Miss World Australia title in Melbourne.
Ms Voloder beat finalists from around the nation to snatch the $68,000 pearl-encrusted crown in Melbourne on Friday night.

She said the philosophy and value she holds most dear is faith. “Faith in good, faith in prosperity, faith in cohesion, and faith that things can always get better,” Ms Voloder said from the Grand Hyatt ballroom.

“Despite what your personal beliefs are, if we all believe in what is good, we can work together and make this world a beautiful and liveable place while we are here.”

Ms Voloder was born in a refugee camp after her parents escaped the Bosnian war. The family then relocated to Australia.

She has gone on to earn a degree in psychology and is currently working as a criminal profiler in Melbourne.

In 2013, Esma traveled to Belarus to represent Australia at another Grand Slam contest: Miss Supranational. She was a hot favorite from the begining, placed in the Top 10 and won the Miss Supranational Asia Pacific 2013 title. In the following year, she was crowned Miss Globe.

With much international experience, beauty and brains, expect Esma Voloder to shine in Miss World 2017!

Miss World 2017 will start in Singapore on October 13th, and finish in Sanya, China, on November 18th.
