Miss Newcastle, Alisha Cowie, was crowned Miss England 2018 at Kelham Hall, Nottinghamshire last night. The 18 year old beauty defeated 49 other delegates to win this title. Cowie, who stands 1.73m tall, raised more than $25,000 for Smiles for Nepal, a charity dedicated to teach oral hygiene and assist dentists in surgery. During the contest, she was also crowned as Miss Talent performing a song in sign language as she is losing her hearing in her right ear. She will now start preparing to represent her country at this year's Miss World final on December 8th in Sanya, China.

Jen Atkins, Miss Scunthorpe, finished and second place, while Manchester's Fatima Gashi took home the third place. Miss London, Chiara King, and Miss Staffordshire, Megan Fenwick, completed the top 5.

GB Opinion: Another strong winner from England with potential. It will be hard to do as well as last year though.
