GB Awards 2018: Miss Universe wins "Best Host Country" with Thailand

Don´t we all love Thailand? With the little time it had to prepare for the Miss Universe pageant, it´s amazing how much was put together, including a visit to the Governmet House, the Royal Winter Festival, the excursion to Pattaya and Krabi, etc. Elements of the host country and its colorful culture were added to the final show, something we had not seen in Miss Universe in a long time. Deservingly so, Thailand is the Best Host Country of 2018. Well done, Miss Universe!

In 2nd place in Miss Grand International with Myanmar. Those who supported the pageant in Myanmar, did with a heart in conjuncture with MGI organizers. Myanmar is a beautiful country opening up to the world, and thanks to MGI, lots of it were uncovered and shown to the world in high style. Proving the Asian domain in international beauty pageants, China (Sanya) and Miss World come next, in 3rd place, with the island being showcased in a very positive way throughout the month-long competition.

Out of the podium we have Miss International and Japan in 4th place and Miss Supranational and Poland in 5th place. Japan is a fantastic tourist destination and its unique culture is fascinating. However, we don´t see MIBP organizers putting much effort to show it, especially in the final show. Poland shinned brighter when the pageant was held in the summer. until 2012. We don´t see much of Polish cultural elements in the show and what is shown of it is not quite remarkable. There´s room and potential for these two amazing countries to be better explored by their respective pageants.
