Rebecca Akwabi was the winner of the 2019 Miss Ghana beauty pageant. She was crowned the winner at the grand final which happened on July 6th, at the Kempinski hotel, Accra.

Rebecca Kwabi is an aspiring fashion designer and aside from winning the crown, she went home with a Hyundai Accent and the right to represent her country in Miss World 2019, in London, on December 14th.

Sandra Amoani was crowned the first runner up on the night, with Akosua Opoku as the second runner up.


Miss World 2018, Vanessa Ponce de Leon, and Julia Morley, CEO of the Miss World Organization, were present at the event. Julia has also been honored in Ghana with a chieftaincy title as a Queen Mother for Bosomtwi Traditional Area in the Western Region, in recognition to Julia´s decades of service to vulnerable people all over the world.

Ghana started competing in Miss World in 1959, two years after the country gained independence from the UK. It´s best result came in 2013, when gorgeous Carranzar Naa Oakiley Shooter was the 2nd runner-up, in Bali, Indonesia.
