Miss World Spain 2020
Ana Garcia Segundo, a 23-year old Law student from Almeria, took the 2020/21 Miss World Spain crown at a gala staged at the Marina D’Or Hotel, in Oropesa del Mar, on July 25th. Ana enjoys cooking as a hobby, while traveling is one of her passions. She supports a social project in Almeria called “Proyecto Hombre”, which aims to assist drug addicts. She speaks fluent English and loves animals.
Miss World Valladolid, Elena Cesteros, 18, was the 1st runner-up. She´s currently studying Advertisement and Tourism. In 3rd place was the representative of Barcelona, Sabela Álvarez Cebrián, 25, a doctor who speaks five languages.
The week-long contest happened with candidates, producers, and supporters respecting social distancing and other measures put in place by the government in times of coronavirus pandemic. The candidates competed in sports activities, the top model round, social projects´ presentation (Beauty With a Purpose), the evening gown runway show, and interviews.
The new Miss World Spain will compete in Miss World 2021, in November of next year.
