Miss World 2021: the Head to Head groups have been defined!

Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of the pageant, has started in Puerto Rico earlier this week, with 89 of the 116 expected candidates making it to the island. Nevertheless, Miss World is the Grand Slam pageant with the highest number of candidates in times of coronavirus pandemic (77 are expected to compete in Miss Universe 2021).

In addition to talent and Dances of World auditions, as well as welcoming moments and celebrations, the drawing which defined the Head to Head groups for this edition took place at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve, in Rio Grande Puerto Rico, and they are:

Group One: Peru, Nepal, USA, Malaysia, Portugal, Bahamas.

Group Two: Indonesia, El Salvador, Albania, England, South Africa, Mauritius.

Group Three: Namibia, Slovakia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Singapore.

Group Four: Poland, Sri Lanka, Cayman Islands, Scotland, Serbia, Honduras.

Group Five: Angola, Bolivia, Ukraine, Japan, Sweden, Venezuela.

Group Six: Norway, Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Guadeloupe, Belize.

Group Seven: Jamaica, Czech Republic, Argentina, Netherlands, Mongolia, Equatorial Guinea.

Group Eight: Estonia, Botswana, St Lucia, Iceland, Italy, Tunisia.

Group Nine: Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Brazil, Moldova, Bulgaria.

Group Ten: Ecuador, Madagascar, Chile, Northern Ireland, Luxembourg, Cameroon.

Group Eleven: Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Philippines, Macau China, France, Gibraltar.

Group Twelve: Nigeria, Panama, Mexico, Korea, Spain, Malta.

Group Thirteen: Rwanda, Ireland, Belgium, Colombia, Curacao, Finland.

Group Fourteen: Costa Rica, England, Hungary, Canada, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea.

Group Fifteen: Iraq, Somalia, Nicaragua, China, Saint Maartin.

The Head to Head is one of the most important stages of Miss World, in which the candidates are interviewed and fans get to vote for their favorites in each group. The group winners will go to a 2nd round and the winners of each duel will automatically advance to the quarter-finals (Top 30 or Top 40, it hasn´t been confirmed yet).
