The second day of quarantine for candidates competing at Miss Grand International 2020 was concluded in Bangkok, with the 60 candidates already present in the Thai capital preparing the videos of the first challenge given by the MGI organization. Miss Grand United States, Evelyn Abena Appiah, and Miss Grand Malaysia, Jasebel Robert, arrived in Thailand on Monday and are already getting used to their new quarantine routine. In a video posted on the MGI Facebook, Miss United States even risked a few words in Thai!

Miss Grand Mauritius, Tania Rene, praised the food, while Miss Grand Panama, Angie Keith, said she arrived so tired after 2 days of traveling, that she slept for 14 straight hours! Miss Grand Nepal, Ambika Joshi Rana, got on a plane for the first time, feeling apprehensive at first. However, the warmth of the Thai people and the care of the MGI organization made her feel at ease shortly thereafter.

Miss Grand Guatemala, Ivana Batchelor, described the food as incredible and said that the experience she is having is absolutely new to her. Miss Grand Jamaica, Monique Thomas, spoke a little about her routine, which includes practicing yoga, exercising, writing, and reading. Ironically, she is reading a book entitled "What a Time to be Alone". Very appropriate!

Miss Grand France, Marine Comby, spent time editing videos and photos for MGI, while Miss Grand Egypt, Virginia Hany, was pure joy when opening the package that contained her golden sash saying “Miss Grand Egypt”!

The Costa Rican representative, Gabriela Jara, introduced her cute roommate, the teddy bear, while Miss Grand Canada, Sara Winter, said she was feeling at home. The Canadian beauty took some time to rehearse her catwalk. Miss Grand Bulgaria, Viktoria Lazarova, praised the strictness of Thailand's protective measures against Covid-19. According to her, these are absolutely necessary measures.

Miss Grand Netherlands, Susan Lips, did not want to be repetitive talking about the quality of the food, after all, as she said, everyone knows that Thai food is excellent. She has been taking advantage of her free time to study for her Skin Therapy degree. Miss Grand Poland, Milena Sadowska, commented on the complications found at her country's airport, however, in the end, everything worked out, and she is thrilled about this experience.

Miss Grand South Africa, Anronet Ann Roelotsz, said that her birthday, on March 14, will coincide with the end of the quarantine, which will further intensify her celebration. Miss Belarus, Polli Cannabis, feels energized by the incredible energy of the Thai people, and Miss Grand Puerto Rico, Fabiola Valentin, says that she has also recovered her energy after long flights and is ready to represent her country in the best possible way.

Miss Grand Brazil, Lala Guedes, commented with nostalgia about the time she lived and worked in Thailand as a model, 8 years ago. She started her day dancing, exercising, and then, meditating. Finally, Miss Grand Cambodia, Chily Liv, delighted everyone with the painting of her country's flag on the bag she won as a gift. Each candidate won the same bag, to be painted by them.
