Australia wins Manhunt International 2022

In a pageant held in the Philippines, Manhunt Australia, Lochie Carey, a Filipino-Australian model from Melbourne who has been featured on the cover of many dark romance covers, became the second man from his country to win this Grand Slam title. The 23-year-old hunk got the top prize trophy from the hands of Miss Universe Philippines 2022, Celeste Cortesi.

'Years and years of training, four times a week, a tough ab routine is super important for my core strength and for my abs,' he told Daily Mail Australia before competing in the Philippines. 'I was a gymnast as a child so I was able to have great core strength from a young age and build on it´, he explained when talking about his good shape.

Manhunt Philippines, Joshua De Sequera, was the 1st runner-up (2nd place). He was followed by Elijah Van Zanten, Manhunt USA (3rd place); Tran Manh Kien, Manhunt Vietnam (4th place); and Cas Hagman, Manhunt Netherlands (5th place).

Candidates who placed in the Top 10 were the representatives of Nicaragua, Hanniel Espinoza; Spain, Alexander Calvo; Peru, Daniel Jares; South Africa, Marcus Max Karsten; and Brazil, Hendson Baltazar.

The quarter-finalists (Top 16) were: Indonesia, Deo Nikolas (Manhunt Popularity); Venezuela, Jose Luis Trujillo; Spain, Alexander Calvo; Peru, Daniel Jares; Nepal, Bikalp Shrestha; Japan, Kiichiro Sakamoto; Sri Lanka, Supun Maduranga; and Nigeria, Lam Chris Chidubem.

Manhunt International is the oldest-running male beauty pageant. It was created in 1993 by Alex Liu and Rosko Dickinson. After Liu´s passing, Dickinson continued to produce the show.
