Germany wins Miss International 2022

After three years, finally the 60th edition of Miss International took place in Tokyo, Japan, and the winner was Miss Germany, Jasmin Selberg. Selberg had competed in Miss Supranational 2022 earlier this year, in Poland, where she did not place among the Top 24 quarter-finalists. Now she’s the 3rd woman from Germany to capture the Miss International crown and the first German Grand Slam winner in 33 years.

Jasmine ranked 15th on GB’s Super 11 list of favorites, appearing in the “very close” category.

Second place went to Miss Cape Verde, Stephany Amado. It’s the first time Cape Verde not only places but also gets so close to a Grand Slam title. She was a significant favorite to win the crown.

Hot favorite Tatiana Calmell from Peru delivered a flawless performance and placed 3rd. Jessica Newton has just started changing Peru’s history in Miss International, which does not surprise us!

Beautiful Natalia Lopez, from Colombia, placed 4th, while the other main favorite for the crown, Miss Dominican Republic, Celinee Santos Frias, ranked 5th among the judges’ final choices.

Jamaica, Spain, and Canada, placed in the Top 8.

The semi-finalists were the representatives of Costa Rica, Finland, France, New Zealand, Northern Marianas, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom.

It was also the first time a candidate from the Northern Marianas placed in a Grand Slam competition.

The night's biggest shock was the non-placement of Sylwia Stasinska from Poland, who looked stunning throughout the competition, and Miss Hong Kong, whom we expected to see in the Top 5.

Miss International 2022 is the first woman to wear the pageant’s new crown, which was placed on her head by outgoing queen Bint Sireethorn, from Thailand, who ended up reigning for 3 years.

We congratulate Jasmin Selberg, the 60th Miss International, and wish her a great year of reign
