The countdown to Miss and Mister Supranational 2022 is on
The town of Nowy Sacz is so peaceful, it's hard to believe that just over 900 kilometers away is Ukraine, a country facing a war unimaginable until just a few months ago. Here a more peaceful contest takes place, with 68 candidates vying for the title of Miss Supranational and 34 candidates seeking the title of Mister Supranational. The two groups, in addition to the event's staff and producers, are staying at the only two hotels in town: the Ibis (Misses) and the Beskid (Misters). Rehearsals take place in a common area, which means they alternate.
Until a few days ago, Misses and Misters had moments of relaxation and visited tourist attractions, especially the beauty of the mountains that surround the city. The misses had the opportunity to visit spectacular Krakow and picturesque Krynika-Zdroj. They've also got a taste of competition at the Supra Model of the Year and Miss Elegance competitions.

Held at a time when no other Grand Slam events take place, Miss and Mister Supranational have garnered more attention than usual. Fans of beauty pageants follow every detail with the utmost attention.
The rehearsals intensify and the nerves of some candidates too, after all, in just 5 days, the new Miss Supranational will be crowned. Chanique Rabe, the current Miss Supranational, participates in everything with attention and professionalism. The young woman from Namibia exudes beauty and sweetness, entering the history of the contest as one of the most outstanding Supra winners. Those who followed the 2021 contest comment that she has always been like this.
Who would be ready to take the title and receive the Miss Supranational crown? Perhaps it would be wiser to answer this question after the preliminary, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, with some exciting news: for the first time, it shall happen on the same stage as the final (yet to be confirmed). What is officially known so far is that Miss Turkey, Şira Sahilli, was elected “Miss Elegance”, and the representatives of Mauritius, Alexandrine Belle-Étoile, from the Czech Republic, Kristýna Malířová, from Vietnam, Nguyễn Huỳnh Kim Duyên, from Jamaica, Carisa Peart, and from Colombia, Valentina Espinosa, are finalists for the “Supra Model” contest.
Among the boys, the competition is also fierce. Succeeding the charismatic Varo Vargas from Peru is also a big responsibility, and after the male Supra Model challenge, 5 of them stood out: Vietnam, Bùi Xuân Đạt, Mexico, Moises Peñaloza, Korea, Han Jung-wan, Cuba, Luis Daniel Gálvez, and Spain, Manuel Ndele. Mister Supranational will be elected next Saturday, in 6 days.
What is known so far is that the stage production for this year´s pageants should be much more elaborate than last year's, going back to the grandiose stages of Miss and Mister Supranational. A tribute to the Ukrainian victims of the Russian invasion is expected to take place. In Poland alone, there are already 4 million Ukrainian refugees.
