Miss World Guyana 2022

Andrea King walked away with the Victoria Regia crown, cash and prizes after she was declared winner of the Miss World Guyana 2022 national competition last weekend at the grand finale and coronation ceremony held at the National Cultural Centre, in Georgetown.

Ms. King was also declared winner of the Multimedia challenge, Head to Head/Debate competition, Talent competition and the People’s Choice award.

As part of the competition, the top three finalists were required to give their five minutes keynote speech highlighting their commitment, dedication, eagerness and readiness for the role of becoming the next Miss World Guyana.

Ms. King, in her speech, reflected on how much her family has supported her journey as well as how much the national competition has changed and transformed her life for the better. She also reflected on her Beauty With A Purpose project, PROJECT FLO that seeks to increase financial literacy among school children in order to help them make smarter, more effective financial decisions.

Her incredibly moving and impactful speech won over the audience as resounding cheers were heard throughout the room. Ms. King, a project manager at Guyana Telephone and Telegraph company (GTT) will be representing Guyana in the 71st edition of Miss World.
