Miss World 2020: Rwanda, Nicaragua, Cameroon, and Dominica, crowned

At Intare Conference Arena, a beautiful venue located in Rusororo, in the outskirts of Kigali, Naomie Nishimwe edged out 18 candidates to become Miss Rwanda 2020. Umwiza Phionah and Umutesi Denise became first and second runner-up respectively. The winner was awarded with a car – Suzuki Swift, courtesy of Rwanda Motor. She was also put on a Rwf 800,000 monthly salary for the next twelve months, on top of other bank services, and of course, Naomie will represent Rwanda in Miss World 2020.

Miss World Nicaragua 2020

She is 19 years old and four years ago she was crowned Miss Teen Nicaragua. On February 15th, Sheynnis Palacios Cornejo became Miss World Nicaragua 2020, and will now represent her country in Miss World 2020. Twelve finalists took part in the contest organized by national director Denis Davila.

Miss Cameroon 2020

Audrey Monkam is Miss Cameroon 2020 and will mark the return of this West African country to Miss World, after being absent last year. The winner competed with other 19 finalists. She hails from Nord-Ouest region and is 24 years old. Cameroon debuted in Miss World in 2013.

Miss Dominica 2020

Savahnn James from Roseau was the winner of the Miss Dominica National Queen Pageant 2020, held in Roseau last week. Savahnn, who was Miss National Bank of Dominica and Greens Wholesale, also took the awards for Best Talent and Best response. She was crowned by Marisol John, who won the crown in 2019. Ophely Mezino, Miss World Europe and 1st runner-up in Miss World 2019, was present in the event, which might mean that Dominica will return to Miss World. This Caribbean island-nation participated in Miss World twice in the past: in 1978 and in 2013. Fingers crossed!
