Miss Indonesia 2020
Pricilia Carla Yules, the representative of Sulawesi Selatan, was crowned Miss Indonesia 2020 at the MNC Studios, in Jakarta. Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh, was a VIP guest and performed during the final telecast singing “I Have Nothing”.
The new Miss Indonesia said after being crowned: “I would love to be the voice that empowers women to gain confidence and radiate self-love."
Christella Fenisianti of Bangka Belitung was the 1st runner-up, while Tenga Araminta Nadia Riwu Kaho of Nusa Tenggara Timur was the second runner-up. Rounding out the Top 5 were Larissa Amelinda Soeryana of Jambi and Salma Dhiya Effendi of Sumatera Utara.
Crowned by Miss Indonesia 2019, Princess Megonondo, Top 40 quarter-finalist in last year´s pageant, and by the reigning Miss World, the 23-year-old will now get ready to compete in Miss World´s 70th edition.
The event in Indonesia is organized by license-holder Liliana Taboesoedibjo. Indonesia has been placing in Miss World for the last 9 consecutive years. Will this amazing streak complete a whole decade in 2020?
