Miss Universe 2021: who will succeed Andrea Meza, becoming the 70th Miss Universe?
Miss Universe 2021, the 70th edition of the traditional pageant, happens tonight in Eilat, Israel. 77 women compete for the crown and we ask you: who will the winner be?
If based on the success of the last GB Super 11 lists, Miss Universe should be one of these 11 representatives (in alphabetical order): Belgium, Colombia, France, India, Namibia, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, USA, Vietnam.
Our 5 pageant experts´ combined opinions put Miss India in first place. She is Miss Global Beauties Universe 2021. India is followed by Spain and USA tied in 2nd place, and Belgium and Vietnam tied in 4th.
We beg to disagree with our experts when it comes to one candidate: Paraguay! After her spotless preliminary performance, we believe she´s a shoo-in for the Top 5. We actually believe in a final battle between India and Paraguay, though the final outcome of the competition will depend on their on-stage interviews.
Let´s do a quick review, continent by continent:
AFRICA
What a strong group! The African delegates performed extremely well in the preliminaries, and it would be not only delightful but also well-deserved, to see at least 4 of them in the Top 16. Namibia and South Africa are very strong and could be battling for the crown. We love Mauritius, who by the way placed in the Top 12 of Miss World 2018. Morocco is so elegant, like a diva from the 1960´s movies! Nigeria is fierce and full of style.

Solid performances, eye on them: Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Kenya.
EUROPE
Europe has an interesting group this year, including hot favorites from Belgium, France, and Spain. There are others who could pull a surprise.

Solid performances, eye on them: Czech Republic, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Portugal.
ASIA/OCEANIA
We have seen much stronger groups of candidates from this part of the globe, however, the #1 favorite for the crown is here (India), and Vietnam, after winning the Miss Grand International crown, has everything to shine here as well. We would LOVE to see Singapore up there!

AMERICAS
The American continent, where Miss Universe reigns in popularity, once again has a very strong group. Expect at least half of the 16 quarter-finalists to come from this part of the world! It will be interesting to observe what will happen, especially after previous favorites from Brazil and Mexico, two countries that have been doing extremely well in this pageant in recent years, did not deliver as expected in the preliminaries. We see 4 women here who could easily take the crown home: Paraguay (along with India, one of the “two to beat”), USA, Puerto Rico (please, change her gown! She´s extraordinary and deserves something better for the final), and Colombia. Watch out for Aruba (WOW!), Chile (it´s time for a Chilean comeback!), Peru (the most elegant woman this year), and Venezuela (solid performance, but Venezuela real moment shall come in 2022, with the unbeatable Amanda Dudamel!

Don´t lose sight of them: Brazil, Mexico.
Miss Universe has so many countries with no “sash power” performing strongly in the preliminary! It´s their best chance to go for something fresh and out of the expected. We wish all the delegates the best of luck!!
