MGI gets a true royalty reception when visiting home!
Thuy Tien, the first Vietnamese woman to win a Grand Slam beauty title, visited her country one month after capturing the Miss Grand International crown, in Bangkok, Thailand. Thousands of proud Vietnamese people crowded the streets of Ho Chi Min to salute and feel closer to their queen. She also got a special welcoming reception at Hoa Sen University, where she attends college. It was followed by a busy media tour and other receptions.
The new Miss Grand International could not hold her tears of emotion on several occasions: “I cannot thank Vietnam enough for such warm reception! At times I had to pinch myself to make sure it was not a dream”, she said.
Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil was present in some of the events, supporting his queen.
She will soon be back to Bangkok, where a full agenda of activities awaits Miss Grand International.
