Bolivia elects its new beauty queens
The representative of Santa Cruz, Nahemi Uequin, won the title of Miss Universe Bolivia 2021 and will represent her country in Miss Universe 2021, in Eilat, Israel, in December. Meanwhile, María Fernanda Rivero, from Beni, was crowned Miss World Bolivia 2022, and will have to wait until the end of the next year to represent Bolivia in 71st edition of Miss World.
The new Miss Universe Bolivia is 20 years old. She speaks English and German and has been working as a model since she was 15. Her court included the 1st Runner-up, Fabiola Montaño (Cochabamba), the 2nd runner-up, Macarena Castillo Bernal (Potosi), and the 3rd Runner-up, Fernanda Antelo (Santa Cruz).
The contest took place in Santa Cruz, last Saturday (8/28).
Miss Supranational is welcomed home with love!
A beautiful welcoming ceremony was what Chanique Rabe of Namibia, the new Miss Supranational, found when she got to Windhoek. There were people chanting and expecting her with flowers in their hands and smiles upon their faces! Chanique´s victory has been celebrated throughout her country as a symbol of unity and collective pride.
Miss Universe 1992, Michelle McLean, also from Namibia, congratulated Rabe: “Congratulations to Namibia´s Chanique Rabe, Miss Supranational, and to Thato Moselhle, the 2nd runner-up, from South Africa. Incredible beauty and talent from the African continent”.
Miss World Kenya 2021
Sharon Obara is the newly crowned Miss World Kenya. The young woman who will represent Kenya in the 70th edition of Miss World, in Puerto Rico, was crowned at an event held at The Trademark Hotel, last weekend, in the presence of dignitaries, government officials, former beauty queens, and other invited guests. Chantou Kwamboka and Mwihaki Njogu took second and third place, respectively.
Sharon, whose biggest fear is living a mediocre life, takes over the crown from Wavinya Maria, who placed in the top 12 of Miss World 2019, in London.
Miss Nederland (Netherlands) 2021
The Netherlands already knows who will represent it in Miss Universe 2021: it´s Julia Sinning, 24, a native of Amsterdam, who was elected in an event held at the Studio21 in Hilversum, this past weekend. She is the new Miss Nederland.
Miss World Peru 2021
In an event held at the Hotel Westin, in Lima, Paula Montes, Miss World Lima, was elected Miss World Peru 2021. The 1st runner-up was Michelle Peter, Miss World Lambayeque, and the 2nd runner-up was Almendra Caceres, Miss World Piura.
Paula will represent Peru in Miss World 2021, in Puerto Rico, on December 16th,
Where will Miss Grand International 2021 be held?
It looks like the new venue and dates of Miss Grand International 2021 will be announced this week, by the pageant´s president, Nawat Itsaragrisil. Some of the options are Bali (Indonesia), Las Vegas (USA), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), and Las Palmas (Spain). The event might happen in November, pageant followers speculate.
Let´s wait and see!
New queen and king of England
Rehema Muthamia, 25, from Mill Hill, representing All African Colours, was crowned Miss England 2021 over the weekend at the Heart of England Conference and Event Centre, in Coventry. She will represent England in the 70th Miss World, on December 16th in Puerto Rico.
Liam Royce Ulla, a business owner, environmental campaigner, and kitesurfer, won the Mister England title on the same occasion. He is expected to represent England in the next edition of Mister Global, in Thailand.
Miss Honduras Universe
Rose Meléndez, 27, from Limon, was the winner of Miss Honduras Universe 2021, an event held at the Infinity Bay Resort, in Roatan Island. Her destination is Eliat, Israel, where Rose will compete for the 70th Miss Universe title.
From top 12 in Miss World to Miss Universe candidate: meet Miss Universe Mauritius 2021!
Anne Murielle Ravina, 26, from Pointe Canon, Rodrigues Island, made history for her country when she placed among the top 12 of Miss World 2018, in China. Her new challenge, after being appointed as Miss Universe Mauritius 2021, is to at least place among the semi-finalists of Miss Universe 2021, in Eilat, Israel. if it happens, it will be a first for Mauritius!

Miss Universe visits Hawaii
Miss Universe, Andrea Meza of Mexico, has just arrived in Hawaii! In her social media, Brook Lee, Miss Universe 1997 (from Hawaii), posted a photo of a welcome dinner for Andrea: “A beautiful night to welcome our Miss Universe to Hawaii”, she wrote in her Instagram account. Aloha, Andrea!
Lucila Benita is the new Miss Equatorial Guinea
Lucila Benita, from Akonibe, was crowned Miss Equatorial Guinea 2021 and her country´s representative in Miss World 2021, to be held in Puerto Rico. Her city, Akonibe, is located on mainland Equatorial Guinea and has a population of about 13 thousand people.
Romania is ready for the Universe again!
In the 2020 edition of Miss Universe, one of the favorites was Bianca Tirsin of Romania, who unfortunately missed the cut in Hollywood (FL, USA). It looks like Romania will compete strongly again, this time around with History student Carmina Olimpia, 20, from Cluj-Napoc, crowned Miss Universe Romania 2021 last night at Face Club, in Bucharest. Beautiful!
Miss Grand Venezuela 2021
Her name is Vanessa Coello Coraspe, she is a medical doctor, and last week she was crowned Miss Grand Venezuela 2021. Vanessa received her crown from the hands of Valentina Figuera, Miss Grand International 2019. In 2019 Coello competed in Miss Venezuela, as Miss Monagas, and was the 2nd runner-up.
Miss Universe 2021 final event to take place on December 12th?
An official announcement hasn´t been made yet, but it looks like the 70th Miss Universe will be crowned on December 12th, in Eilat, Israel. Our source informed us that Fox gave the MUO two options: the 12th and the 19th of December (Both on a Sunday night). By picking the first option (the 12th), Miss Universe will be crowned just 4 days before the 70th Miss World is crowned, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
