Miss Teen Mundial 2021: swimsuit parade and world-class fun in Surf City!

After a few conversations with Salvadorans, one quickly notices something they all like to mention: they speak very well and proudly of the current president of the republic, Nayib Bukele, a man of bold ideas who has been bringing progress to the country. A good example is Surf City, a Pacific coastal region that is hosting part of the Miss Teen Mundial 2021 event.

This is a project created by Bukele to promote some of the country's beaches internationally. The beaches of El Salvador are excellent for surfing and Surf City has recently been chosen to host the ISA World Surfing Games, one of the most important stages of the world surfing circuit. The sand and rock formations of volcanic origin that frame the waters of the Pacific Ocean are very unique and quite stunning.

The tasty local cuisine and reasonable prices help to attract tourists from all over the world, including many surfers from the USA, Brazil, Europe and even as far as Australia!

It was in this setting that the candidates for the title of Miss Teen Mundial 2021 participated in the first swimsuit parade of the contest (WATCH IT HERE) and were photographed with the Pacific Ocean as background. The teens took advantage of their free time to buy souvenirs and stroll through the picturesque streets of El Tunco beach.

What all the contestants agree is that what makes El Salvador even more beautiful and a great tourist destination is its people! As the candidates walked the streets of El Tunco, locals would wave and approach them for selfies, always with a smile upon their faces. The Salvadorean hospitality deserves a perfect 10!

After sunset, wearing their national costumes, the international delegates recorded part of the opening segment of the contest, coloring Surf City and El Salvador with cultural details from their respective countries.
