Miss Teen Mundial 2021: the Preliminary Event happens tonight!

After almost a week of tours, parades and lots of fun, it's time for the real competition to begin, with interviews and the preliminary gala. First, the 22 candidates will be interviewed, behind closed doors, by the judges. At 8 pm, local time, at an event held at the Barceló Hotel and broadcast live on facebook.com/missteenmundial, young women aged between 14 and 19 will walk the runway in national costumes, swimsuits and evening gowns, showing what they have saved from best for this defining moment.

Tonight, the day started with family members and stylists preparing to produce their pupils in the best possible way. All teams are looking for those special details that could make a difference when the judges decide who will be the new Miss Teen World. The preliminary scores will determine the Top 12, who will be revealed in tomorrow´s night final.

A fun event in Santa Tecla gave a taste of what we can expect tonight

The 22 candidates (Miss Teen Mundial Honduras made a late arrival) for the title of Miss Teen Mundial 2021 were welcomed yesterday evening at Plaza de Banderas, in the city of Santa Tecla, where they were presented by Mayor Henry Flores with dolls made by elderly people with some kind of disabilities. In addition, teen beauties from 22 countries and territories paraded on a catwalk set up under the flags, thrilling the local audience.

The show displayed the plurality of this group, with some of them standing out with their impressive stage presence and charisma, while others had as main assets their elegance and a more discreet profile. It will come to what the judges are looking for in a winner this year.

In addition to being all dressed in white for yesterday´s fashion flag parade, there was another characteristic they had in common: the joy for being competing for one of the main teen beauty titles on the planet, and the pride for representing their countries!

The current Miss Teen Americas, Ana Lucia Correa, arrived from Panama and was a VIP guest, brightening the Santa Tecla welcoming party even more. Sushmita Singh, Miss Teen Mundial 2020/21, now a television star in her country, arrives tonight.

Last night ended with the colorful local folklore ballets and the constant hospitality of the Salvadoran people.
