The city of Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland, has once again hosted the Miss Supranational finals, which culminated with the election of Lalela Mswane, Miss South Africa, as the new queen. Lalela has just become the first black woman to be crowned Miss Supranational in the pageant´s 13 years of existence, and she is also the second winner from the African continent to succeed.

The glittering television spectacle took place at the Amfiteatr Parku Strzeleckiego, which showcased an extraordinary stage production, one of Miss Supranational’s trademarks.

The Top 5 of Miss Supranational 2022: Venezuela (5th), Vietnam (3rd), South Africa (winner), Thailand (2nd), and Indonesia (4th).

A highlight of the show was a very touching tribute to the people of Ukraine. The country which has its borders just a few hundred miles away from this year’s pageant venue was invaded by Russia earlier this year and keeps on fighting a very unnecessary war. In protest, a representative of Russia was not welcomed in Miss Supranational 2022.

Lalela Mswane, Miss Supranational 2022, is 25 years old and a Law graduate from the city of Richard´s Bay. She received the new Miss Supranational crown, a stunning creation of Mexican jewelry designer Ricardo Patraca, from the hands of Chanique Rabe of Namibia. The beautiful Miss Supranational 2021, during her year of reign, visited over a dozen countries promoting the Miss Supranational brand as well as supporting “From the Ground Up” social projects. Lalela has also won a cash prize of USD 35,000.00.

The 1st runner-up was Praewwanich Ruangthong, Miss Supranational Thailand.

The 2nd runner-up was Kim Duyên Nguyễn Huỳnh, Miss Supranational Vietnam.

The 3rd runner-up was Adinda Cresheilla, Miss Supranational Indonesia.

The 4th runner-up was Ismelys Velásquez, Miss Supranational Venezuela.
