Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022
Ashley Ann Cariño, the representative of Fajardo, is Miss Universe Puerto 2022. A former Miss Florida USA and 2nd runner-up to Miss USA 2021, Ashley is 28 years old. She was born in Puerto Rico but moved to Kissimmee, Florida, when very young. Her mother has also participated in beauty pageants, in Puerto Rico, when she was younger.
The 1st runner-up was Leonela Gonzalez De Jesús, from Dorado, while Camille Fabery Diana, from Cataño, placed 3rd.
The spectacle broadcasted by WAPA-TV was hosted by Estefanía Soto and Julio Rivera-Saniel. 28 women competed for the coveted crown.
With high approval by pageant fans on social media, it looks like Puerto Rico has a front-runner for the Miss Universe crown once again! She will compete in the 71st edition of Miss Universe. If Ashley becomes Miss Universe, she will be her island´s 6th winner, without a doubt an impressive record!
