Morgan Greco of Washington Crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2023

Dallas, TX, August 13, 2022 ─ Morgan Greco of Camas, Washington was named Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2023 and awarded a $30,000 scholarship as the winner on Friday night, August 13, in Dallas, Texas in front of a sold-out crowd. Greco has earned a total of $53,000 in scholarship money this year.

Candidates represented 50 states and the District of Columbia to compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen. Competition culminated with a live final event featuring all 51 competitors and spotlighting 11 semi-finalists. Over $113,000 was awarded in cash scholarships. In-kind scholarships from seven universities in the amount of $30 million were made available to all 51 candidates.

Greco, age 16, attends Camas High School. For her talent presentation, she performed an Operatic Vocal to "The Jewel Song." She developed the social impact initiative "Empowerment Starts With Me" which encourages young women to empower themselves through self-defense and ensuring safe surrondings. As a 4 year Krav Maga student, her mission is to build up women’s self-worth and inner strength to fight back for themselves. Greco intends to obtain a degree in Marketing/Business and Operatic Performance.

First runner-up was Miss District of Columbia's Outstanding Teen, Lauren Williams, who earned a $10,000 scholarship. A $4,000 scholarship was awarded to second runner-up, Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen, J-Belle Kimbrell. Third runner-up and the winner of a $3,000 scholarship was Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen, Julia Schumacher. The winner of a $2,000 scholarship and fourth runner-up was Miss New York's Outstanding Teen, Dajania James.
